Hope Police Department announce arrests

HOPE – On Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at about 8:30am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Allen Hill, 53 of Hope, in the 1800 block of South Elm Street. Mr. Hill was charged with Theft of Property and Computer Fraud. Mr. Hill was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and is awaiting a first court appearance.

On Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at 8:54pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Carl Johnson, 62 of Hope, in the 900 block of South Grady Street. Mr. Johnson was charged with Residential Burglary, Battery 2nd Degree, Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree and Aggravated Assault upon a Law Enforcement Officer. Johnson was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held pending a first court appearance.

On Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at 10:45am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Tevion Davis, 24 of Hope, in the 200 block of East Avenue A. Davis was charged with crimes from several incidents including Communicating a False Alarm (2 counts), Arson (2 counts) and Theft by Receiving (Felony). Mr. Davis was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held pending a first court appearance.
