Hope Weather Statistics for March and Early April

Hope had an average March temperature cooler than normal.  Normal average temperature is 53.60 and the average this year was 50.52 degrees.  Hope had four days with lows at freezing or below.  Those days were March 6th,7th, 18th, and 21st.  The low temperature was 30 on March 6th.  The warmest day was March 31st when the mercury reached 80 degrees.

March rainfall was 2.32 inches compared to normal average rainfall of 4.92 inches.  Hope was 2.6 inches below average for the month.  Year to date at the end of March was 11.34 inches compared to normal average rainfall at the end of March of 13.58 inches.

The SWREC recorded rainfall for April through April 9th was 10.86 inches.  The greatest rain came April 5th with 6.10 inches received.

Through April 9th, the highest temperature recorded was 83 on April 3rd.  The low was 42 recorded on April 8th and 9th.
