Marilyn VeRose Williamson (Rose)

On October 24, 1960, Marilyn VeRose Williamson was born to Benjamin and Hazel Williamson in Chicago, Illinois. Rose died April 14, 2025.

Marilyn attended Blevins High School in Blevins, Arkansas, where she was involved in many activities, including basketball. She graduated from Blevins in 1979.

At an early age, she gave her life to Christ at the Antioch Baptist Church in DeAnn, Arkansas. Marilyn had a steadfast belief in Jesus and followed His example of service and giving. She loved expressing and sharing her faith by playing the piano and traveling with her sisters to sing and worship.

While working at Tyson Foods, she met the love of her life, Mickey L. Manning. Shortly after, they were married on October 28, 1983. This union welcomed two handsome sons, Mitchell Manning in 1984 and Marcus Manning in 1987.

Though she wore many hats and her life spoke for itself. Her passion was being involved with the youth. Marilyn enjoyed her time substitute teaching at many of the area schools. Her love for children extended beyond the classroom. She opened her heart and home to foster children in need.

The true joy of her life was being with her family. Marilyn was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be truly missed by those she loved. She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Benjamin Williamson.
