City of Hope Mourns the Loss of Firefighter

It is with profound sadness that the City of Hope and the Hope Fire Department announce the unexpected passing of one of our dedicated firefighters. The incident occurred while on duty but not related to a specific call for service.
The community is invited to a candlelight vigil to pay tribute to our fallen firefighter. The event will take place tonight at 8:30 pm at Hope Fire Station 2, located at    1001 N Hazel St,
Hope, AR 71801.
At this time, no additional details are available. We kindly ask the community to keep the firefighter’s family and the entire Hope Fire Department in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Hope Fire Department Mourns the Loss of a Firefighter
Hope, AR – April 24, 2025 – “It is with deep sorrow that the Hope Fire Department announces the passing of one of our firefighters. At this time, the name of the firefighter is being withheld out of respect for the family’s privacy.
The firefighter was a valued member of our department and served the Hope community with professionalism, dedication, and heart. Their commitment to service and camaraderie was felt by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside them.
We are devastated by this loss. Our department is a family, and losing one of our own is never easy. We extend our deepest condolences to the firefighter’s family, friends, and fellow crew members.
Funeral arrangements are being coordinated with the family and will be announced when available. In the meantime, the department is providing support to our personnel and the firefighter’s loved ones.
The Hope Fire Department will lower flags to half-staff in honor of our fallen member. We ask the community to join us in keeping the family and our department in their thoughts and prayers.”
Sincerely,
Todd Martin
