The James Black Bowie Heritage Festival kicked off Friday (4-25) at Historic Washington. The Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting and the WPA Gym had plenty of vendors for those who make knives or wanted to purchase a hand-crafted knife. Events continue both days until 5pm.
