John W. “Dude” Treas Jr.

John W. “Dude” Treas Jr., age 92, of Ashdown, Ar., passed away Friday April 25, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas.

John was born March 13, 1933, in Prescott, Ar. To John and Trudie Treas Sr.

He was a member of the Northern Hills Baptist Church, served in the Arkansas National Guard, member of the Yarborough Fire Dept., He retired after 40 plus years as service manager for Prescott Motor Company and Ozan/Crain Motor Company. He loved fishing, yard work.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, his wife of 58 years Urey Campbell Treas, son-law Gary Harrison, sister Irene Head, Brothers Watson and Hilton “Dickey” Treas.

He is survived by three daughters Malinda Harrison of Ashdown, Ar., Gail and William Oswald of Texarkana, Ar., Stephanie and Doyle Oden of Carlisle, Ar.

Grandchildren John and Sonya Oswald, Ellen Oswald, Amy Harrison Gist, Hannah Oden, Daniel and Lesli Oden. Great grandchildren Caleb Oswald, Leighton Carroll, Makyhlee Gist, Raylee Gist. And a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday April 29, 2025, at 12 Noon at Nubbin Hill Cemetery in Prescott.
