Edna Hollis, 90, of Hope

Edna Hollis, 90, of Hope Arkansas passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Edna was born on August 14th, 1934 in Whiteford Maryland to Walter Lee Watson and Minnie Geib Watson. 

She was a faithful servant of the Lord and devoted her life to walking in her faith as a Christian. Edna dedicated her life to being a homemaker and spent her days tending to the garden, flower beds and honey customers. Her life was simple, but her love for flowers, birds, nature and her family, was immense. 

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Minnie Watson; Sisters; Eva, Janet, Ruth, Margie and Barbara. Brothers; Walter, Edward, Arthur and Richard. Grandchild; Arlene Hollis and many other family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Harlan Hollis Sr, two sons; James Harlan Hollis Jr (Kim) of Patmos, Mark Hollis (Irene) of Patmos. Three Granddaughters; Ashlee Hollis of Concordia, MO. Emily Crane (Justin) of Patmos, Katelyn Hollis of Patmos. Two great-grandchildren; Connor & Makinlee Crane. She also leaves behind one sibling; Bill Watson of Stewartstown, PA, Sister-in-law; Sandra Martin and June Watson. Special Nieces; Debbie, Luann and Kathy. 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday (5-3) at Patmos Cemetery in Patmos, Arkansas. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Patmos Cemetery in Edna’s name.

The family would like to thank Jennifer Joy, Shantrice Hickman and the Enhabit Hospice staff for the wonderful care they provided to her and the family in her final weeks.
