Hope School Board

The Hope School Board met on Tuesday (5-20).  The meeting was kicked off with the approval of the agenda.  Dr. Crossley gave his report.  Interviews are open for David Henderson’s position, as he retired.  Mr. Henderson was the publicity person for the Hope Public Schools.  Awards were handed out to students, teachers and parents.  Mrs. Moss had a question about how resources for Yerger were funded.  The board discussed the direction they wanted to take it.  Dr. Crossley’s concern was that it would be treated as a popularity contest, which is not the direction where the board wants to take it.  It was decided for superintendent Dr. Jonathan Crossley to flesh it out more before they come to a final decision.

Dr. Crossley gave an update on not being able to pay stipends to teachers.  There was discussion on this matter. Dr. Crossley gave the insurance and GEPPA statements.  He mentioned it is due next month.  There was a motion to accept the insurance statements.
