Hope Police announce felony arrests


HOPE – On Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at about 8:00am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Jeremiah Johnson, 46 of Hot Springs, AR, in the 300 block of South Washington Street. Mr. Johnson was charged with Intimidating a Juror, Witness or Informant and held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at about 3:32pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Jesus Gomez, 27 of Hope, AR in the 2400 block of North Hervey Street. Mr. Gomez was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (4th Offense) and Refusal to Submit to BAC Testing. Gomez was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.

On Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at about 9:32pm, Officers with the Hope Police Department arrested James Harris, 70 of Hope, AR in the 2200 block of West Avenue B. Mr. Harris was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member and held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility pending a first court appearance.
