HOPE – Hope Downtown Network (HDN) board members were recently notified that Hope Downtown Network was accepted into the Associate Level Program under Main Street Arkansas. In order to achieve this level, HDN board members were required to submit an application that included a 3-year budget and strategic plans as well as downtown development plans centered around the Main Street Four-Point Approach, that covers (downtown) Design, Organization, Promotion, and Economic Vitality.

As a Main Street Associate Level program, Hope Downtown Network will be required to hire a part-time Executive Director to work alongside the board in planning downtown activities, events, and programs that will benefit downtown businesses as well as tourism. The job search will soon be announced.

Barb Noble, Hope Downtown Network Board President shared, “The board and I are excited to move forward in the Main Street program. We definitely want to thank the City of Hope and the Hope Tourism Commission for joining us in this endeavor as they voted to contract with HDN in supporting the salary for the director. We are looking forward to celebrating additional downtown growth and development when the director is in place.”
