Spring Hill School Board

The Spring Hill School Board met on May 27th. All the expenditures over $5,000 were approved. This included the Great Minds Math Curriculum, Loxi (Guardian for Chrome books) and Apptegy which runs the district’s website and social media.
Also approved was having a Special Education extended year with 15 days in the summer. A floor stripping and waxing company (a private individual) was approved.
Waylon Lewallen’s contract with the district was terminated. The resignations of a baseball and assistant football coach were accepted.
Hirings included Trey McKim as a High School Coach, and Raven Burn, Haley Whipkey and Trista Whaley as paraprofessionals. Hannah Reynolds was hired as a Special Education teacher, Emily Yocum as an Elementary Teacher and Kayla Judd for High School History.
School choice applicants were considered. Out of 30 applications 19 were accepted. Those not accepted were for lack of space.
