Edward Reed Jr.
Edward Reed Jr., age 76, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025. He was born on June 6, 1949, in Hope, Arkansas, to Lorener Allen and the late Edward Reed Sr.
Edward was a loving son, father, and friend, known for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering spirit.
He served in the United States Army with distinction and valor, Edward’s legacy as a military veteran is one of honor, integrity, and unwavering loyalty.
Upon completing his military service, Edward embarked on a successful career as a material clerk at Raytheon Aircraft, from where he eventually retired. His dedication to his work was an inspiration to his colleagues, and his work ethic was deeply admired. He was a man who believed in the value of hard work and commitment, traits he carried throughout his life.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Edward Reed Sr. He is survived by his Wife, Rebecca Hunt-Reed; his children, Patrice, Lisa, Reginald, Denise, and Cornelius; 15 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and a host of Brothers & Sisters and other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He will be missed, but his spirit lives on in the love and memories he leaves behind.
