Thelma L. Henry

Thelma L. Henry was born in Prescott, Arkansas on August 24, 1949, to Lucillie McDuffie and L.T. McDuffie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry; her parents; three sisters, Gloria Fellows, Mary Lila Burns and Mary Lou Brown; one brother, Samuel Fellows.

She graduated from McRae High School.

Thelma “Mama T” accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. She became a member of the Munn’s Chapel Baptist Church. There she sang with the choir and served on the Mother’s Board.

She met and married Charles E. Henry and remained married to Charles until death did them part.

Thelma worked as a cook at the Sonic until her health failed. She was affectionately known as Mama T, Mrs. Thelma, Sis. Thelma.

She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted loving daughter, Sharlene Tribbet; two loving sons, Kirmet Rooney (Yolonda), Timothy Roberts (Laronda); four sisters Rosie Dixon (Jessie), Ada Lou Sumpter (late Jim Sumpter, Shirley Evans (Roy), Lois Adams (late Herbert Adams); two brothers, L.T. McDuffie (Rose), Andrew Fellows (Ruthie); nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; four best friends, Nellie Bunn, Lula Johnson, Johnny Dixon and Katie Box.
