Historical Society to hear from Melissa Nesbitt Tuesday

HOPE – Many treasurers documenting Hope’s past 150 years are located at the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives. Come hear Melissa Nesbitt, Archival Manager of the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives talk about some of the different gems and treasurers in the collection of the archives that you can access. One collection is historical pictures of Hope from Harry Shiver, owner of a long time plumbing business in Hope and descendent of the first families to settle the town.

The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday evening June 24, 2025 at the Tailgaters Burger Company Annex Room in Hope, Arkansas at 7pm. The room is located at 101 South Main Street. Everyone is welcome.

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
