Nevada County Road 18 Closed for Construction of New Bridge

Beginning 7/8/2025, Nevada CR-18 (Wildcat Road) will be closed at the Cox Creek crossing for the next 7 to 10 weeks while a new bridge is built.

They will be tearing down the current bridge and replacing it with new one with hopes to prevent future wash outs with high water and heavy rain!

Please plan ahead and travel Nevada CR-20 or Highway 24 as an alternative route. We are sorry for any delays or inconveniences that this may cause. The Nevada County Road and Bridge Department is working hard to make our roads better for the citizens of Nevada County. Please be patient with them during this time.
