Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce announces 1st Annual Junior Watermelon Idol at the 49th Hope Watermelon Festival

HOPE – The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce is proud to introduce a brand-new addition to the 49th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival lineup — Junior Watermelon Idol! This exciting event is open to young vocalists ages 5–15 and will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM on the Farmers Bank & Trust Stage.

Talented youth will compete for trophies and cash prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Even more exciting, the overall winner will perform later that evening on the big stage at Legion Field, just before the headlining concert featuring The Lead Singers of Classic Rock. (Please note: a concert ticket is required to attend the evening performance.)
