Grass Fires Crop Up on I-30

This grass fire on I-30 westbound Friday (7-11) was just one of several that were extinguished.  Several local volunteer fire departments were called out to respond.  Due to the dry conditions and wind, areas adjacent to highways are drying out quickly.  Everyone is urged not to throw smoking matter out their vehicle windows and to notify authorities should they see a grass fire on the road.
