June Weather Statistics for Hope

Hope ended June up on rainfall and with cooler than average temperatures according to data collected and compiled at the Southwest Research and Extension Center east of Hope.  The SWREC is Hope’s official weather station.

Hope received 4.89 inches of rain in June, up .28 from the average of 4.61 inches.  Year to date, Hope is still up quite a bit on rain.  At the end of June, Hope had received 42.04 inches of rain compared to normal rainfall of 28.21 inches meaning Hope is up 13.83 inches of rain from normal at the end of June.

Average temperatures in Hope were cooler than normal in June.  The average air temperature was 72.07 degrees compared to a normal average of 77.4 degrees, a difference of 5.22 degrees.  The low temperature was 60 degrees recorded on June 1st and 3rd.  The high temperature was 94 degrees recorded on the final day of June.
