Sunrise August 2, 1937-Sunset July 16, 2025

Don Lee Moore was born on August 2, 1937, in McCaskill, Arkansas to the late Highlage Moore and Joe Retha Jefferson Moore. He was the first-born child to this union.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age. He was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus, Arkansas. He was a high school graduate and held many certifications as a welder at Texana Tank Car located in Nash, Texas.

He strongly encouraged all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to “keep a book in your hand”. He would often administer quizzes or design tasks or tests that required his children and grandchildren to apply knowledge, especially in reading and math.

He believed in family prayer time and emphasized the importance of reading the Bible, studying and meditating on God’s word. He demonstrated that the Bible is essential for believers to understand God’s will, grow in faith, find guidance and be equipped for a righteous life.

Preceding him in death are sisters, Dorothy Rowe, Dorothy Jean Clark and brother, Chester Lee Moore.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Bonesther Burns Moore of Washington, Arkansas; four sons, Kenneth Dell Moore (Virginia) of Jacksonville, Florida, Don Haven Moore (Angel) of Columbus, Georgia Don Steven Moore (Felicia) of Tacoma, Washington, Rueben Moore (companion, Trina Baker) of Washington, Arkansas; three daughters, Luretha Loudermill (special friend, Abraham Loudermill, Jr.) of Washington, Arkansas, Orelene Moore of Anaheim, California, Linda Moore (Herbert) of Stockbridge, Georgia; one brother, James E.
