Margaret Dansby Cooper
Margaret Dansby Cooper of Wallis, Texas, passed away peacefully in a medical facility in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 23, 2025. She was born November 5, 1942, to the late Esau and Bessie Dansby of Rosston, Arkansas.
After graduating from Oak Grove High School in Rosston, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she met and married Maurice Cooper. Their union endured for over 50 years until his passing in April 2025.
A lifelong advocate for education and inclusion, Margaret devoted more than four decades to instructing students with special needs at the Richmond State School in Richmond, TX. Margaret was a devoted animal lover, and her cherished fur babies brought her immense joy throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Dansby of California. Mrs. Cooper is survived by her brothers: Doris L. Dansby of Ashdown, AR and Arthur Dansby of Willisville, AR; her sisters, Archie Carter (James) of Bryant, AR, Betty Kelly of Maryland and Nadine Whitley of Rosston, AR; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins will also cherish her memories.
