Barbara Phillips

Barbara Phillips, 84, of McCaskill passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025 at her home surrounded by family.

Barbara was born May 28, 1941, in Caddo Gap, AR to the late Lawrence and Ella Short Coleman. She retired after 20 years from the Blevins School Superintendents office where she was a secretary. Barbara loved to work in her yard tending to her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Marlbrook Baptist Church and was a loving soul.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ella Coleman, brothers Verlin “Buddy” Coleman, James Colman, and infant brother Jessie Darryl Coleman.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, Victor “Vic” Phillips of McCaskill; her son Matt and wife Faith Phillips of Texarkana, TX; her sisters Jeanette Myrick and Shirley Trevillion both of McCaskill; her grandchildren Hunter Phillips and Aubrey Phillips; brother-in-law Jackie Phillips of Springfield, OR; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at the Friendship Church. Graveside services will follow at Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
