Mr. John H. Vickers

Mr. John H. Vickers, 83, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, Texas on the morning of August 13, 2025. John was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who loved life and family. He attended Lincoln High School. He was a hard-worker and awesome provider for his family. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing an occasional game of dominos. He enjoyed watching wrestling and football, He also loved music from James Brown and The Temptations.

John was born on May 4, 1942, in Washington, Arkansas to the late Mr. Isaiah Vickers and the late Lillie Muldrew. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and one sister, Ms. Nobie Jean Vickers.

He leaves to share his many memories, his loving wife of 34 years, Mrs. LeNail Vickers of Hope, Arkansas. His daughters, Wanda F. Hubbard of Nashville, Tennessee and Shantenell E. Primus of San Leandra, California. One sister, Bertha M. Green of Baltimore, Maryland. Six grandchildren. Two Special cousins, Viola Wheeler of Elgin, South Carolina and Betty Jo Watson of Hot Springs, Arkansas. A host of family, friends, and former co-workers.

His service will be held at 2:00 P. M. on Saturday August 30, 2025, at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street: Stamps, Arkansas 71860 under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home. There will be a public viewing on Friday August 29, 2025, at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. His interment will be immediately following his service at Old Washington Cemetery in Washington, Arkansas.

Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of health and well-being of people whom they may encounter while in attendance.
