Karmel Lee “Snuffy” Kuhn
Karmel Lee “Snuffy” Kuhn, 70, of Hope, passed away August 17, 2025, at Christus St. Michael Hospital under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
Karmel was born July 12, 1955, in Afton, Oklahoma to Roland and Lois Kuhn. He lived in many places throughout Oklahoma, but he called Hope home. He graduated from Durant (OK) High School in 1974 and in 1975 married the love of his life, Paula. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on August 11, 2025.
Karmel was an active member of Hope First Assembly of God where he served as a trustee. He was a charter member of Lower Arkansas HAM Operators Group and KK5KLK was an active voice across the airwaves. He was a retired truck driver and was employed as Breakdown Dispatcher for Livingston Truck Lines.
In addition to his parents, Karmel was preceded in death by his stepfather, Cecil Adams, and a brother, Kevin, who died in infancy, and brother-in-law Gary Golden.
Karmel is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paula; a daughter, Misty (Jeremy) Stump of Athens, Ohio; a son, Ben Kuhn; granddaughters, Rylee Kuhn; two brothers, Rusty (Judy) Adams and Steve (Sherry) Adams. He is also survived by brother- and sister-in-law, Wesley & Carlene Clemons of Hope, and sisters-in-law Gaywyn Golden, numerous nieces and nephews, a host of special and honorary children.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, 6pm-8pm, at the Brazzel Oakcrest chapel.
The funeral will be Thursday, August 21, 2pm, at the Brazzel Oakcrest chapel with Bro. Jimbo Manning officiating, with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family would like to ask that HAM Radio operators sign him off the air one last time.
