House a Total Loss in Perrytown

A house was completely destroyed by fire Wednesday (8-27) in Perrytown.  The structure is located at North Front and US 67 in Perrytown.  It was occupied by the Dan Jacobs family.  Mr. Jacobs said at the scene the fire started around 8am and the cause was unknown.  Firemen from Perrytown, Emmet, Southeast, Fulton, and Guernsey were among those responding.  Also responding was Pafford and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department.  Firemen were still on the scene at 12:30pm Wednesday.
