Firefighters union induction ceremony held

HOPE – A firefighters union induction ceremony took place at Hope Fire Station #2. Seth Rainwater came from Little Rock to perform the induction, swearing in Hope Firefighters into the IFF (International Fire Fighters) union and its state organization APFF (Arkansas Professional Fire Fighters). This will bring more resources to Hope firefighters for mental and physical health. This includes treatment for burns, smoke inhalation and other things as well. The union’s name is Hope Professional Firefighters. The international union has 360,000 members and is growing unlike other unions. Hope is part of the international and the state both now. They have created their own account. They want to do raffles and fundraisers and pass the boot and donate money. They want to get out in the public and donate. They want to donate where they can for fire related organizations – for kid burn situations and other things, local charities and fundraisers outreach.
Hope firefighters had a union earlier and it disbanded on good terms. They were able to get their old number of 4774 back. Picture is of president, secretary and treasurer.
Also on hand for the state organization was Cain Harrison, the Secretary Treasurer for the state organization.
In separate news the Union President, Jusin Devenney also talked about a junior training taking place on September 20th in DeAnn where he is the fire chief.
