Spring Hill Dollar General break-in under investigation

SPRING HILL – On September 8, 2025, at approximately 6:24 am Deputy Brandon Schroader and Deputy Lupe Becerra received a call from police dispatcher regarding a burglar alarm at the Dollar General, in Spring Hill.

Upon arrival contact was made with the Store Manager who stated when she arrived at approximately 0615 hours, she entered the store and set off the alarm when she seen that the cigarette cabinet was open and the safe had been broken into. Deputies found a hole cut into the northwest corner wall of the store. The safe doors were cut at the hinges and money taken from the safe.

One suspect was observed on CCTV footage entering the store office, breaking open the file cabinets to locate the deposit bag for the store. Less than 2,000.00 in cash, cigarettes, and other merchandise was taken in the burglary.

This is the latest in a series of similar burglaries at dollar General Stores in the Four States area, Investigators are working with other jurisdictions in trying to determine if the same suspect (s) are involved in other areas.
