Voyagers 4-H Club Interest Meeting this evening

HOPE – What is 4-H? If you have ever asked yourself this question, make plans to attend the Voyagers 4-H Club Interest Meeting to be held Tuesday, September 23, at 5:30pm at the Hempstead County Cooperative Extension Office (1800 E. 3rd St., Hope). Parents and youth are encouraged to attend.

The Voyagers 4-H Club is for youth ages 5-19 with varied project interests for youth residing in Hempstead County. You may be homeschooled or attend public school. Best of all, 4-H membership is FREE!

4-H programs are grounded in the belief that youth learn best by doing. 4-H members engage in hands-on projects in areas of their own personal interest such as science, health, agriculture, or citizenship in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors. Members are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles within their clubs and county programs.

For more information, contact the Hempstead County Extension Service office at (870) 777-5771 or email Betty Wingfield, County Extension Agent – 4-H at bwingfield@uada.edu.
