Hope Housing Authority meets
HOPE – At the recent Hope Housing Authority meeting, staff reports were heard from Deputy Director Jeannie Wilson and Director Zachary Hicks. Wilson said although the number of vacancies had not changed new ones have been added and ongoing process of improved inspection which has added significantly to the maintenance workload. “While it may appear that there is stagnation this is definitely not the case. The pet and no smoking policy is being better enforced in the friendliest and most accommodating manner while making sure the HACOH is in compliance with HUD standards of no smoking within 25 feet of the buildings or within the apartments.”
Director Hicks talked about the dramatic decrease in compliance issues with the NSPIRE inspection of Kelly Homes with only 2 cites as opposed to 20 for the last inspection in 2023. Both of these units are vacant and being worked on.
