Firefighters’ extinguish series of grass fires

SPRING HILL – Spring Hill Fire Department responded to a grassfire Thursday located in the 200 block of Highway 355. Upon arrival members located fires scattered along the highway for approximately 1 1/2 miles. Members began to contain and extinguish the fires. A HUGE thank you to our neighbors from Hope FD and Patmos VFD for coming out and helping us. Also, a HUGE thank you to members of the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office to working traffic control!
