Southwest Arkansas Arts Council 2025 Gingerbread House Competition

HOPE – The Southwest Arkansas Arts Council is excited to announce its 2025 Gingerbread House Competition, a festive holiday event celebrating art, creativity, and local heritage.

In this year’s competition, participants will build their gingerbread house to resemble the William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home (Celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026). This theme gives families a fun way to connect with local history while showing off their creativity and craftsmanship.

Key Dates:
• Registration: Opens Oct 24 | Closes Nov 6
• Drop-Off/Build Week: Nov 7–10 (3:30–7 PM) | Final Drop-Off: Nov 11 (9 AM–12 PM)
• Voting: Opens Nov 12 | Closes Nov 18
• Winner Announcement: Nov 20 — Winners will be announced inside the Hope
Downtown Networks Building, 109 S. Main Street, Hope, AR, during the Downtown
Christmas Open House.

Entry Fee: $10 ($5 for Arts Council members)

Prizes:
• Community Choice Award — $100, sponsored by Farmers Bank & Trust
• Most Creative Award — $50
• Most Realistic Award — $50

Gingerbread houses will be posted on the SW_Ark_Arts_Council Facebook page on November 12, 2025, for the public to vote for the Community Choice Award. Votes will be collected through a Google Form link shared in that post.
