Debbie Nicholas, UAHT Adjunct Instructor, is the recipient of the 2025 Texas Art Education Association Outstanding Art Educator – Retired Award

TAEA is delighted to inform you that Debbie Nicholas, UAHT Adjunct Instructor, is the recipient of the 2025 Texas Art Education Association Outstanding Art Educator – Retired Award. This award recognizes significant contributions and efforts through years of service to TAEA and to art education on the state, local and/or national level. TAEA honors our members and supporters of Art Education through recognition of their continued efforts and significant achievements in art education.
This year’s conference will be hosted at Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Round Rock, Texas. The ceremony will take place during the first general session on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 PM. You are welcome to attend the ceremony whether you are attending the conference or not, and there will be a reception immediately following the awards ceremony to honor the awardees. I would be happy to prepare guest credentials for you or your designee should you wish to attend the ceremony and / or reception. If you wish to attend, please respond to this email with the name(s) that I should prepare guest credentials for. Those may be picked up at the Conference Registration desk the day of the ceremony.
We would also like to encourage you to honor your award winner via social media, a press release to local media, etc. At the bottom of this email, I’ve provided links to an assortment of announcements for recent award winners to inspire you as to how you might honor Debbie.
