David Leland Wilburn, 60

David Leland Wilburn left his earthly home on November 14, 2025, in Texarkana, TX. He was born on August 29, 1965, to William and Dorothy Wilburn in Hope, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Teresa and Cathy; and his grandson, Landon.
Those who will forever hold him close in their hearts are his loving wife, Becky, his children, Josh, William (Becca), Jamie, Jacob (Laura), Jessica (Koty), Racheal (William), and his baby, Skyler. His world was made brighter by his grandchildren: Ashlyn, Aaliyah, Lexy, Ashton, Jack Jack, Mason, Ellie, Brittany, Amelia, Colton, Eric, JJ, and Madison. He also leaves behind his siblings, Dewayne, Janet, and Troy, along with many other family members and countless friends who loved him dearly.
David’s journey took him many places in his younger years as he searched for where he belonged. He eventually returned to Hope, where he built his family. He worked as a mechanic and spent the last 20 years working at Southwest Transmission. David was a steady, hardworking man who made sure his family was always taken care of. Though quiet by nature, David had a way of making people laugh. He never met a baby that stayed a stranger for long, and he gathered many “extra” kids into his life, children who loved him as their own.
He will be deeply and lovingly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
“His greatest legacy is the family he loved so deeply—and who will forever hold him close.”
