Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Draws Hundreds to Downtown Hope

The weather may not have cooperated but there was Christmas spirit by the bushel Monday (12-1) when the Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce held their Christmas Parade and Christmas Tree Lighting downtown.  Hundreds lined the parade route despite cold, misty weather and the floats were magical.

Santa Claus headed up the rear of the parade and stopped at the depot downtown to help Mayor Don Still light the town Christmas tree.  Following the Christmas Tree lighting, Santa headed over to the Tailgaters patio to hear Christmas wishes from the kids.  The Christmas season is officially underway in Hope!
