Jimmy “Dewayne” Powell – Updated

Jimmy “Dewayne” Powell, age 62, of Prescott, AR passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Little Rock.

Dewayne was born January 22, 1963, in El Centro, CA to the late George W. and Sarah Ellen Cook Powell. He worked as a case manager at SWACMHC for numerous years and was a member of the National Guard for nine years. Dewayne was an avid outdoorsman. He loved 4-wheeler riding, camping at Albert Pike, hunting and fishing. Deer season was his favorite time of the year. He was also a Dallas Cowboys fan, but his most cherished time was spent with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers Randy Powell and Gary Powell, and his sister-in-law Dana Powell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Crystal Powell of Prescott; his two daughters Trina Powell of Prescott and Michelle Davis; his brother Chris Powell of Smackover, AR; his two grandchildren Irisa Powell and Jasmine Davis; father-in-law Larry Skutchan (Liz) of Venice, FL; mother-in-law Donna Skutchan (Steve) of Louisville, KY; sisters-in-law Danielle Adams (Gary) of Texarkana, Michelle Skutchan and Rachel Thompson both of Louisville, KY; a niece Christen; nephews Boo (Mary), Spencer, Dakota, Trae and Tristen; numerous cousins and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
