Latest happenings in the Prescott School District

It’s a busy time of the year for Prescott Schools. Congratulations were given to High School students Alivia Quideria the winner and Presley Kerby the runner up of the Hamilton Haven’t Holiday Gift Card Contest.

1971 Wolverette State Champions were honored. Class A Girls State Champions finished 26-3. Late Coach Melba Hall was recognized for her contribution which still impacts the program today. A banner was made in their honor.

Junior High Boys and Girls defeated Blevins.

In the newsletter Junior High School Principal Jeffrey Burton talked about having visited the classrooms and found the students being focused, engaged and showing up with the will to learn. Attendance for the Junior High grades ranged from 93% to 95% with the 8th grade being the highest.

November’s word was Trustworthy and 1st-4th grade students who demonstrated this quality were honored.

Girls to women visited Springs of Hillcrest and shared stories, read aloud and enjoyed lunch together.

Mr. Moore’s 7th grade class dissected real owl pellets to Identify bones, discover prey animals analyze the food web in action.

Curley Wolf Connection delivered Christmas recognitions.

Seniors were told it was time to order items for their graduation with the deadline being in March. Seniors also presented Jerseys to the teacher who had made a positive impact throughout their school years.

December 15th-18th are Christmas spirit days with the themes of Candy Cane Day, Christmas movies, sweater weather and the Grinch won’t steal Christmas.

Congratulations were given to All State and Conference football selections with the names listed on the school website.

There will be help from UAHT with FAFSA on December 16th from 10-2.

Kindergarten teacher Jessi Thompson earned her National Board Certification, a prestigious honor that demonstrates her passion for teaching.
