St. Mark’s Episcopal in Hope Sets Holiday Services

Sunday, December 21,9:00 a.m., St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will be having a pre-Christmas service including Holy Communion with our guest, The Reverend Canon Dr. Warren Leibovitch from the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas in Little Rock. This service will be the last service in Advent before the coming of our Lord on Christmas. The season of Advent in the Episcopal Church is a time of reflection and preparation of our mind and bodies for the birth of Christ.

The Reverend Canon has been with us before, and if you missed him the first time, now is another opportunity to meet him and participate in the Holy Eucharist. Everyone is welcome to the Table!  Following the service, we will have brunch in the Parish Hall for anyone who would like to attend.
St. Mark’s will also have a Christmas Eve Service to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 4:00 p.m. The Service of Lessons and Carols, consists of Bible readings and carols telling the story of the birth of Christ. This meaningful and joyful celebration is beautiful in its simplicity. If you have not visited St. Mark’s before, the Advent/Christmas season is the perfect time to visit. There is just nothing like the quiet stillness in this beautiful, historic church on Christmas Eve.
