Jane Elizabeth Gammill Tunstall

Jane Elizabeth Gammill Tunstall, age 89, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born on December 27, 1935, in Ogemaw, Arkansas, to Sam and Mabel Cole Gammill.

Throughout her life, Jane was known for her kindness, strength, deep faith, and generosity in helping others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A devoted wife, mother, and meme, Jane cherished time spent with her family above all else. Her home was a place of love, strength, and unwavering faith. To know Jane was truly to love her.

She found joy in planting flowers, cooking, and keeping a watchful eye on the cattle and land she loved.

Jane also treasured traveling the world to watch ball games her grandchildren were playing in or coaching, never missing a chance to support those she loved.

Jane faithfully served for many years as the office manager at Dr. Don W. Freel Eye Care Center and was a devoted, lifelong member of the Hope Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mabel Cole Gammill; her husband, Donald Tunstall; her brothers, Don and Sam Gammill; her sister, Carolyn Gammill Lamb; and her niece, Kaelynn Gammill Tadevich.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Tunstall Green (Elston); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Tankersley and Drew Tankersley; and her great-grandson, Rhett Tankersley, all of whom will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Jane is also survived by her extended family, Greg Gammill, Alecia Abbott O’Connor, and Monica Nobles.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Pleasant Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation and Dierksen Hospice.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, 2025, 1pm, at the Brazzel Oakcrest Chapel.

Funeral Service will follow at 2pm, with burial at Macedonia Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of BRAZZEL/OAKCREST, the Funeral
home of Hope.
