Area school updates

While the schools are closed for the holidays those interested can find information on the school websites.

These include more Christmas videos from Nevada – I’m dreaming of a White Christmas and Santa Claus is Coming to Town by the Sixth Graders and Frosty the Snowman by the 5th grade. There’s also a Santa/Grinch skit. January’s lunch menu is posted.

Blevins player Xavier Brazelle scored 40 points during the Cougar Holiday Classic to win over Smackover 86-65! He’s said to be becoming a household name around the state.

The Lady Wolves just won 46-14 against the Blue Jays!

While the details have not yet been released to the public, the agenda for the Hope December School Board meeting included recommendations for an electronic gate for the school buses, laptops for Resource Officers and desktop devices.

For the Superintendent’s Report there were awards and recognitions, an academic update, fundraising reports for the Band and sports and the Band booster report.

Personnel matters and approval of the minutes and expenditures were also on the agenda.
