Latest Hope felony arrests announced

HOPE – On Tuesday, December 30th, 2025, at 12:45pm, detectives with the Hope Police Department arrested Jennifer Roberts, 36 of Nashville, AR in the 300 block of South Washington Street. Mrs. Roberts was charged with Theft of Property and Fraudulent use of a Debit Card. Mrs. Roberts was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held pending a first court appearance.

On Thursday, January 1st, 2026, at 8:57am, deputies with the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office arrested John M. Smith, 46 of Hope, AR in the 100 block of Bream Street. Mr. Smith was charged with a warrant for the offense of Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Violation of a Protection Order. Mr. Smith was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility and held pending a first court appearance.
