Prescott School Board December meeting

PRESCOTT – Prescott School Board minutes for the December meeting were recently released. They included the expulsion of a student for the rest of the academic year with the ability to resume attending ALE on December 8th. The Board modified the recommendation to include the 8 days already served as well as 3 additional days.

There was a data presentation in which Superintendent Bryant said the state had finalized rules relating to school system report card and said the district has earned the grade of C. Mrs. Bryant reviewed the factors used in determining the grade.

The minutes from the three previous meetings occurring during November were approved (one regular and two special meetings).

The enrollment was Preschool 46, Elementary 293, Junior High 275, and High School 269 for a total of 883.

The Financial report was presented. As of December, the District had received 50.41% of the tax revenue budgeted for the year. Tax revenue in the amount of $752,235.96 was collected in November.

There was an executive session about the hiring of Mr. Larry Smith as the Superintendent, which was approved after the session.
