Hope Civitan Club Hears Program on Hope Connexion

The Hope Civitan Club heard from Hope Connexion Outreach Center Director Amy Perry on Tuesday, January 13. Associate Pastor Perry explained how the center, a nonprofit organization rooted in the Nazarene Church, came to be a source of compassion and care for anyone in need in the Hope area. Located at 401 S. Washington Street in Hope, the center stocks “blessing boxes” around town with non-perishable food items and also maintains raised-bed gardens to provide fresh vegetables to those in need of food. She said the center also provides clothing as they have donations and opens as warming or cooling centers during extreme weather periods.
For more information, go to hopeconnexion.org, where there is a schedule of items needed by Hope Connexion in their service to the community. The needed item for January is bottled water and February’s item is garden supplies.
