Three juveniles shot in De Queen

DE QUEEN – A triple shooting Monday night in De Queen is under investigation by the city’s police department along with the Arkansas State Police.

De Queen Police Chief Scott Simmons, in a statement, said at approximately 9:05 pm Monday night, officers with the De Queen Police Department and Sevier County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of 3rd and Vandervoort in reference to a shooting. Arkansas State Police were also contacted to assist in the investigation at 224 West Vandervoort Avenue.

Upon arrival. Officers discovered three juvenile male subjects with gunshot wounds who were transported to the Sevier County Medical Center.

Officers discovered numerous shell casings on Vandervoort Avenue. During the course of the investigation several suspects were identified. Arrest warrants were obtained for three suspects. Suspect names are being withheld due to the ongoing investigation.
