Creative Action Team School launches its on-site, school-based mentoring program for girls

HOPE – This past semester, the Creative Action Team School (CATS) launched its on-site, school-based mentoring program for girls. Luz Vazquez, Community Coordinator, facilitates the program for Bridging the Gaps of Arkansas, located in Texarkana, Arkansas.

On-site mentoring sessions this past semester included several sessions focused on exploring self-worth, identity, and resilience. In January, mentoring sessions will continue to focus on students’ strengths and struggles, while also reviewing students’ goals and self-worth.

The purpose of this program is to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth in a safe environment.
