Lonny Goodwin announcing candidacy in the 2026 Republican Primary for 88th District State Representative

The 88th district has a clear choice to make March third. Lonny Goodwin is the first choice, a washed in the blood, born again Acts 1:8 believer; dyed in the wool, crimson red, constitutional conservative, running a COMPLETELY SELF-FUNDED campaign, to be a totally independent Republican Representative.

Lonny has been a resident of Hempstead County 30+ years, who owned and operated a 64,000-capacity broiler farm for 14 years, worked for Lester Oil Co. (Texaco) from1990-2002, when ADEQ fined him into bankruptcy, at which time Lonny established his environmental / standards company for regulatory compliance and liaison to the regulatory agencies governing petroleum marketers.

The concept of LMGCO, INC (Love Mercy Grace, a 501c3) was born in the early 2000’s, when a group including Lonny from Hempstead County went to the west end of Grand Bahama Island, to repair houses & roofs damaged by hurricanes Frances and Gene.

Lonny (and his wife, Tammy) began partnering with Red River Baptist Association and Baptist Medical and Dental Mission to Honduras in 2007, making yearly trips until 2020 with COVID travel restrictions. In 2011, Lonny & Tammy received a Call from Dr Dan & Pat Hill inviting us to Liberia, West Africa to discuss the possible development of a nursing program / practical TRADES training program in the proposed construction of the ELWA/SIM Hospital to be completed by Samaritan’s Purse, which was under construction. As a result of the initial visit, Tammy began working with nursing and medical staff and Lonny began working with the technical trades in Liberia, beginning in the generation/electrical distribution service, then progressing to the installation of clean water treatment systems. This work continued until the travel restrictions imposed by COVID & ELWA-SIM. Lonny Goodwin Co Inc, Liberia (est. in 2016) and LMGCO, INC LIB (est. in 2017) moved operations and headquarters to TIM/GCA compound in Tahn, Liberia.

In 2023 Lonny, Tammy and David Blackmon founded TRADE, a Freedom Project, partnering with the Sevier County Resident Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) program. TRADE provides a 1.5-hour in-facility class, 10:00-11:30 every Friday. In addition, from 12:30-1:30 TRADE hosts an ‘aftercare’ 12 step recovery group and lunch meal at Kern Heights Community/Youth Building. Lonny covets this time to communicate the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and pass on the skills and TRADES endowed by his creator.

Lonny wants to express his gratitude for your support in the efforts to bring representation back to the people of Hempstead County and away from Dark Out-of-State Money & PACs
