Hope Police make two felony arrests

HOPE – On Monday, February 9th, 2026, at 4:20pm, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Antonio Martinez, 52 of Hope, AR in the 300 block of South Ferguson Street. Mr. Martinez was charged with Sexual Assault 2nd Degree and was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility to be held pending a first court appearance.

On Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at 11:04am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Juan Scott, 59 of Hope, AR in the 900 block of North Hervey Street. Mr. Scott was charged with Breaking/Entering and Theft of Property. Mr. Scott was transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility to be held pending a first court appearance.
