State Police release accident information

LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas State Police has released information on two separate fatal accidents in the area.
PRESCOTT – On February 10th, a 2015 Chevrolet driven by Colton Bailey, 20, of Delight was westbound on Highway 24 near Prescott. The preliminary Arkansas State Police report states the vehicle left the roadway and collided with an embankment, overturned, and ejected the driver. The crash happened at 3:30 am. Trooper Diondre Fuller was the investigating officer.

HOPE – On January 26th, two people on a sled being pulled by a 2010 GMC Terrain on East Jones Street in Hope were involved in a crash. The preliminary Arkansas State Police states that Humberto Nunes Vaca, 18, of Hope, was killed when he struck a metal pole while on the sled. An unidentified minor also on the sled was injured and taken to Christus St. Micheal Health in Texarkana. (It is State Police policy to not release the names of minors involved.)
The crash happened at 3:43 pm and the street was icy at the time according to the report. Officer Justin Dean with the Hope Police Department was the investigating officer.
