UA Hope-Texarkana Foundation invites community to a “Beachin’ Good Time” at 19th Annual Beads, Bags, and Bangles Kids’ College Fundraiser

HOPE – The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Foundation is bringing the beach to Hempstead Hall for the 19th Annual Beads, Bags, and Bangles Kids’ College fundraiser on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., presented by Farmers Bank & Trust and Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Homes.

This year’s theme, “Beachin’ Good Time,” promises a fun, tropical escape while raising money for local Kids’ College programs that serve students across the Hope and Texarkana area communities.

Guests are encouraged to show up in their coolest beach attire and get ready for an evening packed with entertainment. The event will feature luau-inspired snacks, a silent auction, a gun raffle, and dancing to music by DJ Stanley. Attendees can snap photos in the photobooth, sip on signature drinks like The Sunburn and Bay Breeze, and test their skills in the SPF 50 Spud Showdown and other beach-themed festivities.

The night will also include special performances by Arkansas Circus Arts, featuring aerialists, mermaids, and even a jellyfish on a sway pole. It’s all designed to entertain, inspire, and most importantly, support local students.

As part of the fundraiser, the BBB Committee is selling tickets for a chance to win a stunning VAHAN 14K gold and sterling silver diamond stackable bracelet valued at $1,825, generously donated by Alexander’s Jewelers. Tickets are $5 each or five for $20, and you do not need to be present to win. Every ticket purchased helps fund Kids’ College programs. To buy raffle tickets, visit https://www.uaht.edu/news/bbb-2026.php.

Guests can also enjoy shopping and interactive experiences throughout the evening, including the BBB Committee Tiki Hut, permanent jewelry by Casey’s Permanent Jewelry, hat and purse burning with Hammer and Stain of Hot Springs, hair wrapping and braiding by Jennifer Tyree, and professional photography by Heather Clements.

Proceeds from the event will support quality Kids’ College programs, classroom supplies, and dedicated instructors who inspire young minds. Funds also help provide special opportunities for middle school students in grades 6 through 8, including Camp Save-A-Life and the Engineering and Manufacturing Camp of Creativity, where students learn hands-on skills such as CPR and robotics.

By attending Beads, Bags, and Bangles, guests are not just enjoying a night out. They are investing in local students and helping create opportunities that can shape their future.
