Blue Jays and Hornets Head to State

Both Nevada and Blevins basketball teams are competing this week on the state level in Lafayette County High School in Stamps. The Blue Jays boys team and the Lady Hornets teams are competing Tuesday.

The Blue Jays will play against Brinkley at 2:30. School will be dismissed at 12:30 and there will be a fan bus leaving at 1:30. Cub Scout 94 pack meeting will be postponed in order to support the team.

The Lady Hornets will play against Augusta at 4. Classes will let out at 2:30 and fans are encouraged to come support the team. A student fan bus will leave at 2:45.

The Hornets boys’ team will play against Dermott at 5:30 on Thursday.

For both fan buses students must have signed permission slips. The buses are only for high school students. Tickets must be obtained by noon on Tuesday.
