Breaking – Circuit Clerk’s race certified as tied, goes to runoff March 31st

HOPE – The Election Commission has certified the March 3rd Primary results. The totals for the Circuit Clerk’s race remain tied. A runoff election will be held for the Secretary of State and Circuit Clerk’s races. Election Day will be Tuesday March 31st 7:30 am – 7:30 pm. All vote centers will be open. Early voting will be at the Hempstead County Courthouse Tuesday March 24th – Friday March 27th and Monday March 30th from 8 am – 4 pm each day.

In the Circuit Clerk’s Primary race, both incumbent Gail Wolfenbarger and Becky Hood each polled 1,168 votes. That triggered an automatic recount, which again showed a tied vote count.
