Edward Victor Oltmer, Jr. 71, of Rosston, AR passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, surrounded by family in Texarkana, TX.
Ed was born on January 6, 1955, to Edward V and Pearl Oltmer, Sr. in Schuyler, Nebraska.
He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, antiques, traveling and working his cows.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Gilbert Oltmer.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Oltmer; sisters Kay Bisson (Ross) and Gwen Cooper (Gene Macholan); daughters Jennifer Juhl and grandson Jaxon Juhl, Misty Almond (Andy), and Billie Faust (Calvin); along with many other grands and great grands who loved Papaw Ed; numerous nieces and nephews with one very special niece Christina Cooper, who was instrumental in helping with Ed’s medical diagnosis and treatments.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 1:00pm in the Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm with Rev Dan Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
